Cheer On Your Mates, Get Involved With The Events!

Will You Try Your Hand (or Foot) at something this time?

Celebrating the achievements of the dancing community!

Tonight we cheer on our friends, and family, or perhaps step onto the floor ourselves, as we take part in medal exams, and dancing displays. As always, it will be an action packed evening full of social dancing, inspiring medal exams and performances from both Long-Steps Staff/Students and visiting dancers! But, this time round we’re also putting out best competitive feet forward with some fun novelty events.

FUN Social Novelty Events!

Impromptu Couples Event

Join in the impromptu couples event and try your hand at being the best on floor across two different dances.

You will get the chance on the night to jump up with a partner and try your luck at some dancing in a low-stakes chocolate and bragging rights competition just for funsies.

  • Each couple will dance both dances;

  • The best couple across both dances will be winners.

The Impromptu Couples dances for the Autumn Showcase 2026 will be:

  1. Modern Waltz, and

  2. Gypsy Tap.
